Motor City Music at Peterborough Musicfest

Come down to Del Crary Park on July 1st for a special Canada Day edition of Peterborough Musicfest! This special concert runs in addition to the regular Saturday and Wednesday shows and features Motor City Music, a Motown Tribute Band. Here is their official bio courtesy of the Peterborough Musicfest website:

Motown Records, with its unique and influential sound, was founded in Detroit, Michigan (the “Motor City”). Motown’s distinctive blend of R&B and pop music achieved widespread international success, and played an important role in the racial integration of popular music.

This Canada Day, at the Peterborough Music-fest, Coco, Ashely, Jarelle & Stevie of the Motor City Music band will pay tribute to the Motown tradition. The Motor City Music band performs the greatest hits of the Motown era, recreating the dynamic vocal harmonies, melodic bass lines and musical styling made popular by the Motown groups of the sixties, seventies and eighties: The Foure Tops, The Temptations, Stevie Wonder, The Supremes and many more! Motor City Music has performed collectively and individually throughout the GTA and Ontario.

On July 1st, make sure to bring your dancing shoes and come celebrate with Motor City Music as we span four decades of the most popular dance hits of all time!
