Wading Pools & Splash Pads
All of the parks below have either wading pools or splash pads that are open throughout the summer months. These splash pads and wading pools are operated by the City of Peterborough.
Wading Pools
These Peterborough wading pools are open from June 29th to August 19th each year from 11:30 AM to 4:30 PM, 7 days per week. While the pools are supervised by lifeguards, adult supervision for your children is required. The shallow water is a great way for little ones to cool off and is suitable for younger children up to approximately 8 years of age. Wading pools can be found at the following parks:
- Barnardo Park
- John Taylor Memorial Park
- Knights of Columbus Park
- Otonabee Park
- Turner Park
Splash Pads
There are 4 state of the art splash pads located in Peterborough, Ontario. Here’s where you can find them:
- King Edward Park
- Nicholls Oval
- Riverview Park & Zoo
- Rogers Cove
There is no lifeguard supervision at these splash pads and children should not be left unattended.
Please Note: This section still needs a bit of work. Once summer time rolls around again we are planning on getting out to the various parks with wading pools so that we can update this area with more information and photos for you.
