Come out to Peterborough Musicfest to support Ennismore’s own, Pelissa Payne! Inspired by family, friends and fiddle lessons at age 4 from the Leahy family, Ennismore country artist Melissa Payne developed a love for music. By 18, she had taught herself to play guitar, began writing songs, and entered (and won) music competitions around the province.
Her latest album, High and Dry, is her most ambitious to date, a collection of songs about growing up as part of the ‘Millennial’ generation that explores insecurity, career pressures, and the struggle for acceptance. “A soft, sensitive voice that will leave listeners weak in the knees” – No Depression
